You'll Be Missed! Allan Melvin

On Thursday January 17, 2008, Allan Melvin passed away at his home in Brentwood. Allan Melvin was 84 years old and was suffering from cancer.

Allan's credits include work as early as 1959 through 1994. I have provided an overview of the wide range of roles:

You can tell by viewing the list that Allan was a huge voice over actor. He might have been one of the earliest voice over actors. His resume was impressive. Of course there are his most memorable roles, like The Brady Bunch, Gomer Pyle, All in the Family and Archie Bunkers Place; but then you also see his wide range of voice over gig's throughout the years in shows like CB Bears, Smurfs, Spiderman, Ducktales, and Pufnstuf. I never realized how many roles this talented man performed.

While Allan was a great actor his greatest role was that of husband for 64 years! Allan Melvin you will be missed!
