Court TV continues to play court shows, but changes name!

Last year Turner Broadcast Network purchased Court TV. It appears that over the last year the powers that be decided they needed a name that more appropriately fits both the daytime and nighttime programming. So on January 1, 2008, Court TV will no longer be. Tru TV officially takes over.How do you feel about that? I never had any issues with the name. I thought it was befitting for the programming line up. It even worked for the nighttime crime shows and (lifetime like) movies they play.

If they want to bump programming, I say ditch those paid programs that run all morning on Saturday and Sunday.

I think, it will be hard to NOT refer to COURT TV by its original name. After all, they will be in the court room all day -- so it just stands to reason folks will want to continue calling it Court TV! Let's see what happens...
