No he's not BUUUDDDD!

Today, I'm watching a PSYCH marathon on USA. I like that show it's very entertaining!

As you probably know PSYCH is about a guy who has photographic memory and recall. His dad always pegged him for a screw up and basically, he was right. However, Sean's uncanny abilities allowed him to help solve a crime with the local police department while pretending to be psychic. After solving the crime he figured out he could do this on a more permanent basis and make money at the same time. So under the auspices of a psychic detective agency Sean can use his ability and help solve crimes. Most importantly get paid to help. Sean runs this agency with his lifetime friend Gus.

One of the episodes today Sean told a room full of sorority women that Gus played BUD on The Cosby Show when he was a kid. The thing about this is he really does look like he could have been Kenny aka BUD from The Cosby Show.

Of course, I loved The Cosby Show, but carry a particular fondness for the characters Rudy and Kenny. So I immediately researched to make sure it wasn't the same actor. He isn't the same actor.

Gus is portrayed by Dule Hill who is a very charming actor in his own right. Dule Hill's career started with the part of Robert E. Lee in Good Old Boy: A Delta Boyhood, in 1988, and includes many show credits from All My Children, 10.5, The Guardian and Numbers. His most notable part would have to be Charlie on The West Wing.

So who did play Kenny aka BUD? That character was portrayed by Deon Richmond. Since The Cosby Show, Deon has been seen in a variety of movies including, Scream 3 and Not Another Teen Movie. Deon has also been keeping his TV credits running with a long stint on Sister Sister as Jordan and in the short lived show called Teachers.

While Dule Hill does resemble Deon Richmond they are two separate individuals. I'm glad I took this walk in to their lives. I found this journey interesting. It's always nice seeing where our childhood TV actors show up in the future. I'm pleased to report that BUUUDDDDD is doing well for himself!

So where is Rudy? Aw a post for another day!

TV Show Default

Do you have a TV show default? You know a show that you will always turn on when you can't figure out what else to watch. Generally, these shows fall in the category of your favorite re-run. Back in the day, I think most people defaulted to "I Love Lucy."

These days, my default is "Law & Order." Any L&O will do. I like the original and SUV the best. However, I've been known to watch Criminal Intent also. I will watch the marathons mini or full. Most importantly, if I just can't figure what else to put on the tube, I'll tune to TNT or USA and catch a episode of L&O.

What's your default show?
