TV's beloved Suzanne Pleshette has passed away. In 2006, she had been diagnosed treated for lung cancer. She succumbed to respiratory failure on Saturday night.
Suzanne is probably best known for her long running show The Bob Newhart Show and the movies The Shaggy D.A. (the original) and The Birds. However her long running career commenced in 1957 and continued through 2004, and included titles, such as:

Suzanne Pleshette also performed on Broadway. She was one talented and classy lady. Hollywood mourns the loss of Suzanne this weekend.

Awww. That's sad - I LOVED Bob Newhart, not to mention Gunsmoke. It's hard to believe she's gone.
As a kid, she was one of my definitions of adult cosmopolitan sexiness. Very sad.
I thought Suzanne Pleshette was one of the most beautiful women on television, loved that voice. I really enjoyed her work over the years. God bless her family.
