Ike Turner Dead At 78

CNN reported today that music legend, Ike Turner is dead at 78.

I don't know if there are many people unaware of who Ike Turner is; either you were a fan of his music from the Ike and Tina Turner days, or you had a chance to see "What's Love Got To Do With It", Tina Turner's account of her years married to Ike, Ike was infamous.

I was managing a restaurant 10 years ago and had Ike as a customer. He was loud and brash, but clearly not the man he once was. He pulled out the 8x10 you see above, and autographed it: "What's love got to do with it, not a damn thing! Ike Turner", I thought that was amusing...especially since I didn't ask for the autograph.

I hope that Ike found some peace and happiness in his later years, I hope that for everyone.
