On Christmas Day there's a film being released entitled "The Bucket List" starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. A bucket list is, quite simply, a list of things a person would like to do before they die or "kick the bucket".
If I were making a "bucket list" of my own, it would have to include going to New York specifically to search out, and ride in, the Cash Cab! Cash Cab is a show on Discovery Channel where unsuspecting folks hail a cab on the streets of New York and find out they're in a mobile game show. The host/cab driver, Ben Bailey, asks questions of the contestants until they reach their destination and for each one they answer correctly they receive cash. As the questions increase in difficulty they are worth more and if contestants miss three questions they're out on their butts on the streets of New York.
I just love this show. Just like any one who watches a game show from the comfort of their own home, I know all the answers to the questions, and I'm convinced I'd make big money on my ride.
I wonder why this show can't be done elsewhere? There are cabs all over the country, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, all places I like infinitely more than New York. I'd better fire off a letter to Discovery Channel.

I wish the cash cab would travel to other cities!!!
There's a version of cash cab in the UK
That's cool.
Now if I can get them to come to the West Coast. Ok I know NY uses more cabs then anywhere else in the US .. but still... LOL
