Scott Baio has a reality show. Its two years running. Each season the name varies depending on his situation. God Bless Scott, but that man has some issues.
Season one, Scott Baio Is 45... And Single, covered his fear to make a commitment to one woman. He never made a relationship work. He was famous for dating many ladies in Hollywood, and breaking many hearts. He found a woman who he really thought could be the one. That scared the BLANK out of him. So he found a counselor to help him. He ended up hiring a life coach. She made him relive old issues and make some amends for past behaviors. The hardest assignment he had was to stay away from the woman he was doing all this for, Renee. In the end, he found he really loved her and was ready to commit. SURPRISE - She announced she's pregnant.
Season two, Scott Baio Is 46... and Pregnant, Scott has to figure out how to be a daddy. He now has a new experience he has to figure out. Scott is scared because he is committing to one woman and now he's going to become a father. He enrolls in Daddy in Me class! So the baby comes and after all Scott's whimpering, complaining, fears, issues and so forth, the man is a great father. The best part is he loves his baby girl. Now it's time to tie the official knot. Scott has another whole set of fears. The worse part is that he complains about the wedding planner spending too much money that he ends up planning the wedding. Did I mention that the wedding is less than one month away?
What I didn't mention in either of the episodes are Scott’s friends. Yes, he has an interesting group of pals. You might know Jason Hervey from Wonder Years. His friend Steve Cuccio is not an actor just a good friend. Johnny Venokur aka Johnny V is a small part actor on various shows. All three of them are very good and close friends of Scott. Jason and Steve are really stand up guys. They both are married with children and have their lives together. Johnny V is that friend who is more like a side kick, and doesn't really know how to live without being Scott's side kick through life. It's sort of sad. However, the guy is so obnoxious you sort of want to see Scott cut the umbilical cord! All three of them see Scott through his ending single life, become a father and officially tie the knot. Renee' the woman Scott does all this for is really a great gal. She seems level headed and really a great match for him. He needs someone who is mellow, calm and loving for him. Is that Renee? Well it was bumpy while she was pregnant. Honesty, she is all that and more. Scott is a lucky guy. He knows that, but it's still all uncharted waters. For some reason, Scott sees the uncharted waters as an incoming hurricane rather than a relaxing day at the beach. I think Bailey his daughter is calming him down. Both Renee and Bailey seem to be the right medicine for Scott's nerves.
The season finale of season two Scott is supposed to say I DO! Does he? Of course, he did. After the wedding Scott got another surprise! Renee's 18 year old daughter got a one way ticket, she's not going home. Another season is now being written.......
