Nancy Grace And I Mean That Figuratively.

Nancy Grace has got to be one of the most annoying women on television. It's not her unfortunate helmet hair, or her nails-down-a-chalkboard voice; no it's the fact that she's so unlikeable, mean in fact. I've watched her talk down and over many a "guest" on her show. I just want to smack her.

It's really interesting that she's so self righteous, under the guise of a "victim's rights" standpoint, because Wikipedia has quite a selection of Grace's questionable actions.

One entry from Wikipedia: Courts that have upheld convictions on cases Grace was involved with have been critical of her conduct. In a 2005 opinion, a panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals said Grace "played fast and loose" with her ethical duties and failed to "fulfill her responsibilities" as a prosecutor in the 1990 triple murder trial of Herbert Connell Stephens. She failed to turn over evidence that pointed to other suspects to his defense. The court noted that it was "difficult to conclude that Grace did not knowingly" elicit false testimony from a police investigator that there were no other suspects despite strong evidence to the contrary.

There's a saying that goes "there's none more zealous than a convert". Hmm....

aawww poor Nancy. I actually like her. Yes, she bugs me sometimes, but I like the stir and buzz she creates.

I have to say though I didn't know that about her prosecutor days. Thanks for the tidbits.

Yes, Nancy Grace was a prosecutor. One can hardly watch her show for more than 10 minutes without hearing her mention that fact.

Growing up the son of a judge, I learned this over-generalization. There are about three types of people who are attracted to the prosecutor's office: (1) People with political ambition who think this will make a good stepping-stone; (2) People who genuinely want a career in public service and want to make the streets of their city/community safer, but don't want to carry a badge; and (3) a small percentage who have a "Prosecution Complex," as my dad used to call it... guilty until proven innocent is their philosophy... they think the whole world has done something wrong and they can hardly wait to nail 'em!

Nancy Grace fits very nicely in category 3, I think.

Hi Rvc ptac,

Welcome! It was a woman who committed suicide; her child had disappeared and Nancy was doing the "hard question" thing.

Nancy pretty much accused the mother of harming her own child. The next day the mother was dead.
