Dr. Phil Getting Real On Childhood Obesity

Dr Phil was talking to parents of severely obese children this evening.

I must admit that when I see these types of shows I get angry. One mother had a 80 lb 3-year-old, one mother wrote in that her 70lb 2-year-old would only eat orange chicken, one mother didn't know what to do about her 351 lb. 15-year-old because "she couldn't stop her". I should also mention that whenever I see these shows the mothers are always also obese.

I just want to scream! The only way these children can get this food is if the parents provide it. How is that point lost on these parents? Coincidentally, Dr. Phil made that very same point. Such a sensible man.

I seen that show too, the one with the 2 year old that will only eat orange chicken and was told to stop fixing it for him, it just totally floored me.

I know. He would have never had it in the first place if she'd not given it to him!
