Billy Ray Cyrus was giving an interview today on the Glenn Beck show on CNN Headline News, and I was struck by how well the years have treated this man.
I am not talking about the way Cyrus looks, because he clearly is enrolled in the "Jon Bon Jovi school of aging" that is, not aging. No, I'm referring to the way Billy Ray Cyrus has sort of redeemed himself from the mullet wearing, hip swiveling, Elvis wannabe that he appeared to be in the 80's.
I'm not ashamed to admit I've watched more than one episode of Hannah Montana, and find it entertaining, what's more entertaining is that Cyrus not only has a hit show that he is happily second banana on; he and his wife seem to be raising a sweet, level headed young lady in show business which is not an easy task. He makes no secret of the fact that he enjoys being friends with his child; and in observing his daughter Miley, the feeling seems to be mutual.
